EastEnders viewers to see shock return in tonight’s episode

Letitia Dean returns as Sharon Watts in tonight’s episode, months after she was last seen in EastEnders.

She came back to Walford with her son Albie to surprise her half-sister Vicki, played by Alice Haig, reports Digital Spy.

Vicki has a big week ahead as she is due to marry Ross Marshall in the coming days.

In the episode, Sharon and Albie can be seen getting out of a black cab before going to surprise Vicki.

Since 2025, Sharon has been in Florida, so Vicki said previously that she thought she would miss her wedding.

However, Sharon made it clear in the latest episode that she couldn’t do such a thing.

Her return comes after she left the soap in October 2025, after Zoe Slater’s lies about who the father of Sharon’s son is.

EastEnders’ biggest storylines

Viewers will be surprised to see Sharon return, as there has been no official announcement from EastEnders’ bosses.

Recently, Alice Haig didn’t give away any details about the return of Sharon for the wedding, according to Digital Spy.

Instead, she said: “Wouldn’t that be lovely!

“Vicki is going to need all the family she can get.

“Kathy really steps up this week.

“She’s there before it starts.

“On the morning of the wedding, she is sorting the marquee, organising the flowers, she’s got her clipboard, she’s ready and providing a lot of support for Vicki.

“She’s got Mark as well.

“They’re a tight-knit family group.

“Ian is around helping out a bit.

“Everyone has rallied round to make this wedding happen.”

Also in tonight’s episode, Grant (Ross Kemp) and Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) will leave for Portugal.

You can watch EastEnders from 7.30pm tonight on BBC One and iPlayer, or watch it before it airs, on iPlayer now.
