Paddy McGuinness and Keith Lemon’s Moviefest returns with Halloween special

Back by popular demand, the nation’s favourite comedy duo, Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness, are hosting a Halloween-themed Moviefest event, in association with Showcase Cinemas, and promise a night of spook-tacular fun alongside a screening of 80s horror comedy classic The Lost Boys.

Following the hugely successful launch of the duo’s first-ever live Moviefest event in August, the British comedy duo are set to return on Friday, October 18, for a Halloween special hosted at the stunning Victorian theatre at Alexandra Palace in London, the perfect setting for a night celebrating classic Halloween cinema.

MovieFest sees Keith and Paddy pay homage to their favourite films with a brilliant fusion of live comedy sketches inspired by the chosen movie and the era, alongside a screening of the film on a giant screen. The event finishes with a post-screening 80s inspired DJ set hosted by Keith and Paddy, where the duo play their favourite tunes from the decade all with a suitable Halloween twist. MovieFest is the ultimate Halloween treat for any fans of The Lost Boys, classic horror and the 80s in general.

MovieFest was launched in summer 2019, with Keith and Paddy performing to a sold-out live audience at Tatton Park in Cheshire, followed by a traditional outdoor cinema screening of the 80s musical classic Dirty Dancing.

Paddy McGuinness said: “Proper excited to be back on stage with Keith for MovieFest this Halloween. We are both huge fans of 80s movies and love putting our own spin on these timeless classics – it’s gonna be a belter!”

Keith Lemon said: “Really excited about bringing back MovieFest with me good mate Paddy McGuinness! We had lotsa fun and good times with Dirty Dancing in the summer. Now we’re givin’ MovieFest a spooooky twist with one of me absolute fave movies – The Lost Boys! There’ll be drinks and good music! It’s gonna be a wicked party!”

Mark Barlow, General Manager of Showcase Cinemas UK, said: “The launch of MovieFest this summer was everything we hoped it would be – a laugh-out-loud series of events for people who, like us at Showcase, are passionate about film – so it was a no-brainer when Keith and Paddy asked us to work together again for MovieFest Halloween. The Lost Boys is another 80s classic and we’re sure it’ll be a fangtastic show!”

George Wood, founder of The Luna Cinema, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Keith and Paddy again for the second instalment of MovieFest after a hugely fun launch at Tatton Park this summer. Keith and Paddy are comedic geniuses and we know that it is going to be a real treat for fans to watch them perform together live, this time at the Alexandra Palace Victorian Theatre – one of the most atmospheric venues in London. We are excited to be paying homage to another 80s classic film and we’re sure Keith and Paddy have got a lot of tricks (and treats) up their sleeves to surprise and delight fans this Halloween.”
