Some of the stamps feature images from their most famous performances, including at Hyde Park in 1969, Knebworth in 1976 and Rotterdam in 1995.
Four more stamps will be available in miniature sheet format, featuring two photos of the band together and two of their worldwide tour posters.
According to PA, The Rolling Stones is only the fourth band to feature in a dedicated stamp issue, following The Beatles in 2007, Pink Floyd in 2016, and Queen in 2020.
The band formed in 1962 in London, and have been active for six decades now, becoming one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with 200 million records bought.
Songs like ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’, ‘Gimme Shelter’, and ‘Brown Sugar’ have proved to be very popular.
“They have created some of modern music’s most iconic and inspirational albums, with ground-breaking live performances to match.”
